Over the weekend I threw together one of the easiest dish I make, BBQ crock pot chicken. It only requires 2 ingredients, 3 if you want to get fancy. The chicken is perfect in salads and sandwiches and I love making a big batch so I have leftovers or to stick in the freezer for a day that I don't feel like cooking. ... Keep Reading >>
Touchdown Week: The Silly Pearl
Hello everyone! My name is Steph, and I blog about crafting, cooking and thrifting (and a wee bit of gardening!) at The Silly Pearl. I’m also mama to five year old twin girls, Sophie and Sarah. Thank you for having me on your blog today, Amanda, to share my recipe for BBQ Chip and Chocolate Rice Krispy Treats in a fun football shape. Like Amanda, I also reside in the Bay Area…GO NINERS! ... Touchdown Week: Six Sister’s Stuff
We are the six girls from Six Sister's Stuff - Camille, Kristen, Elyse, Stephanie, Lauren and Kendra. We really are all sisters - and no brothers! While we may have grown up living the ultimate "girly" lifestyle, we still enjoy a good football game - and of course the delicious treats that accompany them! :) We will be cheering for our Utah State Aggies this fall - and we totally bleed blue! Today we are excited to share 40 great tailgate party snacks Kuzak's Closet and we hope you can use it as a go-to guide for your fall ... Keep Reading >>
Touchdown Week: Katie {Did} It
Hi there Kuzaks Closet Readers! I am so excited to be here on Amanda's blog today, to participate in Tailgate Week! My name is Katie, and I blog over at Katie{Did}It. I like to do lots of DIY projects, crafts, and cooking. I hope to see you visit me over there some time! In my house, we cheer for the Dallas Cowboys... Most of the time. Ha! My dad is a diehard Cowboys fan, so I was pretty much raised on them. But my husband plays fantasy football, so we generally watch lots of games so he can see how his players are doing. ... Labor of ‘Like’ Spanakopitas
If you are a frequent blog reader you know I love Ina Garten more than any other celebrity chef. On the rare occasion that I get to watch her midday cooking show it feels like being home. She makes me want to sip champagne and make incredibly "easy" dishes like lobster mac and cheese or garlic lemon chicken in my less-than-Hampton's kitchen. She always says her recipes are easy, she even has a cookbook called "How Easy is That?" In most cases she's being honest, her classics are easy to put together but she does lie from time ... Waves to Wine & Homemade Chicken Tenders
Chris is riding in the Waves to Wine bike race to cure MS this weekend. It is a 100 mile trek that starts at the coast near San Francisco and it ends in wine country. He has been training for it for the last 3 months with weekend bike rides. He's also been doing Bikram yoga and daily insanity workouts to get in better shape too. Crazy to me considering he is the last person who needs to burn that many calories! ... Keep Reading >>
Breakfast for Dinner: Crustless Quiche
Eggs are not my favorite but they have become a staple in my new low carb lifestyle. It is much easier for me to stomach them for dinner than for breakfast so I have been trying new recipes once a week to jazz them up. ... Keep Reading >>
Nutella Mousse Trifle
I didn't feel guilty about making this treat because I had all of the ingredients on hand. Something inside of me said it didn't "count" as cheating on my low carb diet because I didn't have to go out and shop for thing. I would actually be doing myself a favor by making it and getting all of the extras out of my pantry so I wouldn't feel tempted anymore, ha! ... Keep Reading >>
Summer Salad Series Wrap Up
My husband Chris and I made a resolution to eat healthier dinners over the summer and to help keep us on track I decided to have a Summer Salad Series here on Kuzak's Closet every Wednesday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It was an interesting project and I am so glad that I committed to blogging about it because it forced me to try a new recipe each and every week. ... Keep Reading >>
