Enjoying a much needed girls night out, I wore this fun look to the Stitch Fix Party last week (see more HERE). With their headquarters in SF it was the perfect event to get me out of my winter style blues and allow me to experiment with some spring fashion!
I have recently realized that although I do love color and print, showcasing it in the form of a top or dress is not my ideal style. I am a lot more comfortable sticking to these trends via accessories for not only are they great statement pieces on their own but can also be mixed and matched together into various looks.
For my ensemble I choose to focus on new tweed jacket I recently purchased for my trip to the Dallas. A tweed jacket is a great wardrobe staple for it is a perfect winter to spring transition piece. You can pair it with a little black dress for work or with a basic denim and blouse look, like I did, for a happy hour. Highlighting the colors and print in the jacket, I added a woven purse and chevron print pumps.
Let me tell you, it took me a minute to switch out of winter mode. I kept on trying to convince Monica, my styling go to gal pal, for about 3o minutes that I just needed to throw on my black sweater but I am glad she insisted on some bright colors! What do you think?
