Incorporating textiles into your home decor style is a great way to add a splash of color and texture. This week’s Kuzak’s Closet estate sale in Palo Alto features a bevy of textile treasures from regions like India, Laos, Thailand, Africa, Peru, Mexico and more. Below I am offering my favorite Pinterest-inspired idea to help add a new element to your home decor – starting in the bedroom. These beautiful pieces featured above will be available for purchase at this week’s Palo Alto estate sale.
TEXTILE AS A STATEMENT PIECE
Consider using a textile as a bedroom statement piece. A colorful textile can be a great option for a unique headboard or a simple throw blanket for your bed. If you use a textile with a lot of color or fabric detail as a head board or wall hanging, consider keeping your bedspread set and/or bedroom accessories a neutral hue, this will really make your statement textile pop. Use a gorgeous textile to breathe new life into a ottoman or wrap a pillow for a one-of-a-kind piece. But don’t go overboard, keep it simple! You want your colorful textile to bring a single bold statement to your bedroom, not create a chaotic, frenzied mess!
