Summer days are coming to an end, but don’t fret for I have just the recipe to finish of the season with a bang or actually more like a fun fizz.
White wine is a great option for cooling down a summer night. Some crisp, some fruity and some sweet, why not add a fizz to your favorite white wine flavor? I happened to use this recipe when I had a large get together this summer and loved how simple it was to make for a big group. A great ideas on how to really have fun with this recipe is, make variations. Go to a local thrift store or estate sale and buy a bunch of mix and match glass pitchers. Filling each one with the same wine to sparkling water ratio, yet a different citrus fruit in each! CHEERS!
Ingredients:
1.) Wine
2.) Sparkling Water
3.) A handful of your favorite citrus fruit
Directions:
Pour wine into a pitcher. Make note that you need 1 bottle of wine for every 12 ounces of sparkling water, I used three bottles of wine and 1 liter of sparkling water from my soda stream. Slice fruit and add to the wine. I used lemons for flavor and blood oranges for color. Top off with sparkling water and stir. Pour into ice filled glasses, garnish with more fruit and enjoy!
