Today’s post is going to be short and delicious because the more I talk about this appetizer the more my stomach growls! My husband made it over Memorial Day Weekend for a little get-together we had with friends. He really likes to cook and try new things which I am thankful for. This dish is savory and oh so good, everyone at the table was dying for more!
I wasn’t sure about the flavor combo until I took my first bite and it made perfect sense. Click here for the recipe from Food & Wine!
Any plans for this weekend? We don’t have an estate sale so I am planning to go on a hike with my husband and some of our friends. The hike is 11 miles and apparently it could take up to 9 hours. Where are we going and why? Who knows! I just hope someone brings there Google Maps App with them (they are all Googlers)! Our friend Willem is organizing the hike and he typically plans a fun lunch after so that is going to be the only thing that motivates me. I should wear a shirt that says “will exercise for food!”
Sounds like maybe you’re doing the PG&E trail or a long version of Mission Peak! They’re both good training climbs if you ever want to hike Half Dome because of their hills and elevation. That’s why they take longer to hike than the mileage would otherwise suggest, too.
