I had a few boxes of shoe boxes in my truck so I used them for sorting and storing tape, checks, pens, etc.. They fit perfect in the shelves and will help her family maintain the space. I reused the red baskets and some of the clear bins she already had to store things like photos and extra paper, office files and labels.
The desk was littered with magazines, old mail, and paperwork that required action or filing. Instead of dumping it into a pile to look at later, I sorted in into piles so we could quickly review each piece and make decisions.
After we finished my client said “clear desk=clear mind” and she is so right. There is something so satisfying about knowing that everything has a home and is filed in it’s place.
In total it took us 3 hours to complete the project, totally worth it! My client was so happy that we went through everything and at the end the only homework she had was to maintain, maintain, maintain!
Kuzak’s Closet specializes in home organizing, major disorganization, and estate sales. I only work on home offices from time to time and I enjoy the process of it but I am glad that my business is not based off of paperwork. I think my background as a law student and operations management have me enough paperwork to tackle for a lifetime, ha!
