I’m back with another great set of organizing before and afters. Last week I worked on a vanity project for a client who wanted to maximize her storage space and most importantly find what she is looking for. The space under her sink was great but it wasn’t being utilized and didn’t look very appealing.
Like most women, my client had lots of makeup, bath and body products, and miscellaneous medical and first aid items under her sink. My assistant Devin and I sorted everything into piles (as I gave Devin a quick education on how the products make us beautiful, ha). After we sorted everything we took measurements of the space, picked a color scheme for products, and made a shopping list…shelf liner, pretty containers, and a drawer system to maximize the space, and hit the shops.
We started at Target where we compared the available product measurements to the measurements of the space. We decided these counter top drawer units would be perfect if we stacked them 2 by 2. We couldn’t find the right products to put on the other side of the vanity so we ran into The Container Store to grab some of my favorite bins, these flower burst decoboxes, I have used them on other projects and I just love them. They are so durable and pretty, two traits I look for when I am shopping for clients.
When we got back to my client’s house we lined the base of the vanity with pretty contact paper and installed the new products we purchased at Target and The Container Store. Each little drawer was filled with products and labels and the tubs were filled with bulkier items like feminine products, hot rollers, and travel bags. I love the transformation and so did my client, she loved the pretty bins and all of the labels! Take a look at the before and afters and let me know what you think of the transformation.
This looks so nice…I need to do the same thing in my bathrooms!

Have a great week!!
Many times the space under the sink whether in the bathroom or kitchen is ignored and cleaning products or other items are left to accumulate. More often than not, this area is forgotten and just left to become messy. Having organizing tips and storage boxes like such can be truly helpful in making spaces neater.
I so need to do that! Labeling makes life so much easier! I have the same cabinet liner in my kitchen- it's so fun! 🙂
